About Condorcet: An innovative social scientist and mathematician, as well as anti-slavery activist and feminist thinker. Condorcet is now perhaps best known for the famous jury theorem which bears his name, which is part of a series of works wherein he elaborated on how voting systems may help democracy better achieve its ends. He was eventually killed in captivity, betrayed by the revolution he had supported.
